After four months of celebrating and ranking the best in Afrobeats, AMG Records has announced the discontinuation of its Afrobeats Charts project, effective October 21, 2025. The initiative, which launched on June 21, 2025, aimed to spotlight rising stars and trending hits across the global Afrobeats scene.

According to AMG Records, the decision was made to allow the team to focus on upcoming projects that will further support African music and artists. “We are proud of the success and engagement the Afrobeats Charts received over the past months. However, we believe this is the right time to channel our energy into new creative ventures that continue to push the culture forward,” the label shared in a statement.

While weekly updates will no longer appear on Instagram and Facebook, fans can still access daily Afrobeats chart data directly through AMG Records’ website. The platform remains committed to promoting Afrobeats talent and providing valuable insights into the genre’s growth and impact.

AMG Records expressed gratitude to its audience for their continuous support and participation. “Thank you for understanding and for being part of the AMG Records family,” the team added.

For those passionate about Afrobeats, the journey doesn’t end here — it simply evolves. Stay tuned for what’s next from AMG Records as they continue to innovate and uplift African music on the world stage.
